SPANISH DAY 2015

Hola El Carmen School! What a fantastic day we all had celebrating Spanish Day. Our day was full of interesting activities such as flamenco workshops, Spanish music, Art, Spanish cinema, we had traditional Spanish food for lunch, parents read Spanish story books to the children and many more!

Malachite class in Year3 had the wonderful opportunity to Skype with you. Thanks for answering all our questions. We were very curious to know about  your favourite subjects and what it is  like not to wear school uniform.

 This was a Spanish table displaying typical products and items from Spain. Some of them came in the culture box all the way from El Carmen School!
 Parents volunteers came in to read in Spanish.

We had so much fun and we want to do it all over again!

We want to share with you some photos from our Spanish Day, celebrated 10th February just before our half term break.

We had a full day of exciting assemblies, workshops, music, food and art. The whole school took part in Flamenco workshops and we had activities in class such as making non-alcoholic sangria and Antonio Gaudi art in Y4, castanets and fans in Reception, Picasso art in Y2, terracotta tapas bowls in Y3, Flamenco dance coreographies in Y5, maracas in Y1and many more....
